Systems Analysis

Being in tune with client's requirements is a critical success factor for any pending implementation project. Star approach this task methodically and break the project down to its constituent parts, a process that sets the parameters for the new system.

Star will assign a project manager to lead the implementation planning phase who has prior experience with projects of a similar nature or magnitude. The project team will drill down into the existing systems and data files to design the new system so that it will achieve the clients desired outcomes. Star takes a very prescriptive approach to the solution. Having completed hundreds of installations, we have confidence in our project manager's appraisal of the client requirements and the optimal way to address them. Past experience has shown that this method achieves the desired outcomes in the most efficient and risk averse way.

Design & Implementation

Star's solution recommendation is heavily influenced by the scope of any development work and customisation that is required to fit the system to the client's processes. In many cases, the standard modules can be configured through inherent settings to accommodate most requirements, however, Star holds the source code under licence to the solutions we offer and can consequently wrap the software around the client's business through customisation where necessary.

Once the solution is designed, Star will typically install the system in a test environment to ensure that the data has been migrated correctly and that the customised extensions are integrating with the standard modules seamlessly.

Training Courses

Greentree Training Image A successful implementation is dependent on the quality of training available to the solution's users and more importantly, the internal system administrators. Star has standard training courses available for all of the solutions we offer, which have been refined over many years based on user and trainer feedback. The standard training packages on offer are an economical alternative to customised programs, however, in most cases provide ample depth for most users. Only in large organisations with a variety of customisations is a tailored course required.
